Stuart Bond from Dark Peak Fell runners is the winner of the Dovedale Dash 2015 in a time
of 27 mins and 11 secs. This is Stuart's fourth Dovedale Dash win! He was 1st in 2005,
2010, 2012. Congratulations Stuart ! Stuart wins the Izaak Walton Shield.
Second is Ben Fish from Blackburn Harriers (winning the Dog and Partridge
Tankard) (27:38) and Third is Jason Williams from the Hermitage
Harriers (29:08).
First Lady is Olivia Walwyn from Macclesfield Harriers in a time of 32 mins
and 50 secs. Olivia wins the Peveril of the Peak Cup. Olivia also won the Dash
in 2005. Second Lady is Sheena Allport (33:40) (winning the Cyril Challinor
Shield) and Third is Elsbeth Grant from Matlock AC (34:21).
Elsbeth is under 14!!!
The Under 18s and Under 14s did really well this year and ended near the top !

First Under 18 and 19th overall is Daniel Evans from Derby AC in a time of 30 mins and 47 secs. Daniel wins the Ian Hall Cup. Second is Ethan Barr from Amber Valley (32:531) and Third is Elliott Meylon from Buxton AC (32:59).
First under 18 Girl is Helen Thornhill from Buxton AC in a time of 35 mins and 6 secs. Helen won the Dash last year as well! Second is local girl Annie Round (44:20) and Third is Maddy Vaughan (44:47).
First under 14 and 16th overall (!!Fantastic!!) is Will Tighe from Buxton AC in a a time of 30 mins and 35 secs. Will wins the Mart Cup. Second is Finn Moffatt from Buxton AC (31:08) and Third is Joseph Currie from Matlock AC (33:38).
First under 14 Girl and 2nd Woman overall (Well done !!) is Elsbeth Grant from Matlock AC in a time of 34 mins and 21 secs. Second is Alice Crane from Derby Mercury (35:22) and Third is Anastasia Stock Clarke from Ashbourne RC (38:13).
First over 60 and winner of the Dorris Allen Salver is Peter Beatty from Bishops Stortford RC in a time of 36 mins and 32 secs. Second is Mick Moorhouse from Matlock AC (39:04) and Third Tony Press from Hatton Darts (39:47).
First local Thorpe man home and winner of the Bluebell Cup is Max Wainwright in a time of 29 mins and 57 secs (well done Max!). Max was 10th overall.
First local Thorpe lady home and winner of the Matthew Parris Cup is Annie Round in a time of 44 mins and 20 secs (well done Annie!).
In total 1316 people entered the Dovedale Dash this year of which 1274 finished (at least we recorded at the finish):
- 749 Men 18-60
- 333 Women 18-60
- 51 Under 18s
- 82 Under 14s
- 59 Over 60s
The Children's race (Mini Dash) had 88 competitors this year. The winner was Paddy Welsh from Clifton School and the winning Girl was Bethany Johnson. The U8 Boy winner was Alex Currie and the U10 Girl winner was Jessica Kaul.
As I am sure you appreciate it is really difficult with these kind of numbers to get all the finishing positions, times and spelling of names and clubs correctly. Apologies for that. I do think we have captured most. A queue formed towards the middle in the race (despite our airport style system after the finish), but the time keepers moved with the queue, so we believe most people will have a reasonably accurate time.
